The Office just completed its final episode this May. I did not watch it every week but I did enjoy tuning in once in while. The character I will probably miss most is Dwight Schrute.
One of my favourite scenes from the office was this one:
And the Dwight Schrute quote that I’m sure most people would most like to repeat in the office is:
In an ideal world I would have all ten fingers on my left hand and the right one would just be left for punching.
Of course, you have to be impressed by the guy’s negotiating skills.
Dwight: This car is crap. I will buy it for next to nothing
Andy: How next to?
Dwight: Well, here are your options: You can sell it for parts, drive it off a cliff, you can donate it to a person who you’d like to see die in a car crash, or you can sell it to me and I’ll use it as I would a wagon on my farm. It will be towed by a donkey.
Andy: I have to pick one of those?
Andy: Can you go over those options again?
And, finally, no one can sum up an employee’s loyalty to the company better than Dwight:
Would I ever leave this company? Look, I’m all about loyalty. In fact, I feel like part of what I’m being paid for here is my loyalty. But if there were somewhere else that valued loyalty more highly, I’m going wherever they value loyalty the most.
What is your favourite character, scene or quote from The Office? Did you participate in the Dwight Schrute meme?
